This Privacy Policy explains how ZAHI ELEMENTS TRADING – FZCO, trading through Zahi Foods, collects and uses personal data when you visit https://zahifoods.ae, place an order or contact us. It also explains your choices and rights under applicable data protection law in the United Arab Emirates.

  1. Who we are

ZAHI ELEMENTS TRADING – FZCO is the controller of personal data described in this Policy. Our trade license number is 61916 and our registered premises are at DSO-IFZA, IFZA Properties, Dubai Silicon Oasis, Dubai, United Arab Emirates.

  1. Personal data we collect

We may collect the following categories of personal data:

identity and contact details, including your name, email address, telephone number, billing address and delivery address;

order and transaction information, including products ordered, order value, delivery instructions, payment status, refunds and customer-service history;

payment-related information. Payments are processed through Network International. Zahi does not intend to store complete payment-card details on its own systems;

account information, if you create a customer account;

communications you send to us, including enquiries, complaints, product reviews and supporting photographs;

technical and usage data, such as IP address, device and browser information, pages visited, referring pages, approximate location derived from IP address, and cookie or similar identifiers; and

marketing preferences and consent records, if we introduce optional marketing communications.

We normally collect this information directly from you, automatically through the website and cookies, or from service providers involved in processing your order.

  1. How and why we use personal data

to receive, confirm, process, fulfil, deliver and manage orders, payments, cancellations, replacements and refunds;

to create and manage customer accounts;

to respond to enquiries, complaints and requests;

to prevent fraud, misuse, security incidents and unauthorised transactions;

to maintain business, accounting, tax, product traceability and legal records;

to operate, secure, troubleshoot and improve our website and customer experience;

to analyse website performance and usage, subject to cookie choices where required;

to comply with legal and regulatory obligations and respond to lawful requests; and

to send promotional emails or messages only where we have an appropriate legal basis. Zahi does not currently operate marketing email campaigns.

Depending on the activity and applicable law, we process personal data because it is necessary to perform or take steps relating to your order, to comply with legal obligations, with your consent, or for legitimate business purposes that do not override your rights.

  1. Cookies and similar technologies

Our WooCommerce website may use strictly necessary cookies to provide core functions such as the shopping cart, checkout, security and customer login. With your choices where required, we may also use analytics, preference or advertising cookies.

You can control cookies through the cookie banner, where available, and through your browser settings. Blocking necessary cookies may prevent parts of the website or checkout from working correctly. The website cookie banner and any separate cookie list should be kept consistent with the technologies actually enabled on the site.

  1. Who receives personal data

We share personal data only where reasonably necessary with service providers and other recipients, including:

Network International and relevant banks or payment participants for payment processing and fraud prevention;

FSL Shopeasy and delivery providers for warehousing, picking, packing, dispatch, delivery, tracking and handling delivery issues;

website hosting, WooCommerce, information technology, security, analytics, communications and customer-support providers;

professional advisers, auditors and insurers where necessary; and

courts, regulators, law-enforcement bodies or other authorities where disclosure is required or permitted by law.

We do not sell or rent personal data. Service providers may use personal data only for the relevant service or as otherwise permitted by law and their applicable terms.

  1. International transfers

Some service providers or their systems may be located outside the United Arab Emirates. Where personal data is transferred internationally, we take reasonable steps to use a transfer mechanism and safeguards required by applicable law, considering the destination and the nature of the processing.

  1. Retention

We retain personal data only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described above, including order fulfilment, customer support, product traceability, fraud prevention and legal, accounting or reporting obligations. Retention periods vary by record type. When information is no longer required, we delete, anonymise or securely restrict it, subject to legal and technical limitations.

  1. Security

We use reasonable technical and organisational safeguards designed to protect personal data against accidental or unlawful loss, misuse, alteration, unauthorised access or disclosure. No website or electronic transmission is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Subject to applicable law and any relevant conditions or exemptions, you may have rights to obtain information about processing, access personal data, request correction or deletion, restrict or object to certain processing, request transfer of data, withdraw consent, and complain to the competent authority. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing already carried out lawfully.

Our website is intended for adults purchasing products for themselves or others. We do not knowingly collect personal data directly from children through accounts or orders without appropriate authorisation. If you believe a child has provided personal data to us without appropriate authorisation, please contact us.

The website may link to third-party websites or social-media services. Their privacy practices are governed by their own notices, and Zahi is not responsible for their content or data handling.

  1. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy to reflect changes in our services, technology or legal requirements. The effective date at the top identifies the current version. Material changes may also be highlighted on the website where appropriate.
